The College of Natural Resources (CNR) is Bhutan’s premier institution for higher education in agriculture, forestry, animal science, environment, climate studies, and sustainable development. Established in 1992 as the Natural
Resources Training Institute, it became a full-fledged college under the Royal University of Bhutan. CNR offers undergraduate and graduate programs aligned with Bhutan’s holistic vision of Gross National Happiness (GNH).
Located in Lobesa, Punakha Valley, CNR is surrounded by stunning natural beauty—green landscapes, fertile river valleys,and the majestic Himalayan peaks. It is close to some of the most iconic Bhutanese landmarks. The conference venue offers modern facilities in a serene environment ideal for learning and collaboration. The mild spring climate in March (15–20°C daytime, 5–10°C nighttime) ensures a comfortable setting for participants.
